單復數(shù)同形的單詞

　　一、Chinese

　　n.中國人

　　The chef, staff and managers are all Chinese.

　　廚師、工作人員和經(jīng)理都是中國人。

　　二、cattle

　　表示“牛群”，故用作復數(shù)名詞。作主語時，謂語用復數(shù)形式。

　　All his cattle were grazing in the field.

　　他所有的牛都在地里吃草。

　　三、police

　　該詞通常表示“警察部隊”，“警方”這樣的含義，是一個集體名詞。

　　The police are investigating the witnesses.

　　警方正在調(diào)查目擊者。

　　四、poultry

　　是“家禽”的意思，如雞、 鴨、 鵝等。若指這些活體的動物時，要當作復數(shù)名詞來用。
