爸爸是一名出租車司機(jī)。原來(lái)，爸爸載客過(guò)程中遇到了一個(gè)外國(guó)友人，他“嘰里咕�！钡卣f(shuō)了一大串英語(yǔ)，爸爸卻一句也沒(méi)聽(tīng)懂。外國(guó)友人只好搖搖頭，伸手去攔別的出租車。爸爸白白丟了一單生意，感到非常懊惱。
“閨女，你教我些青島景點(diǎn)的英文單詞行不？我要學(xué)英語(yǔ)！”我聽(tīng)后，毫不猶豫地答應(yīng)了�？墒菦](méi)過(guò)幾天，我就感到厭煩了——爸爸很笨，教他的單詞不是記不住，就是記錯(cuò)了。例如，“Laoshan Mountain”（嶗山）這個(gè)詞組吧，“Laoshan”他記得牢牢的，但死活記不住“Mountain”怎么發(fā)音。記不住也就算了，他還不服氣：“這個(gè)不用教，外國(guó)友人說(shuō)嶗山我肯定能聽(tīng)懂，你教我點(diǎn)有用的！”
“Qingdao Beer Museum”（青島啤酒博物館），我脫口說(shuō)出了一連串單詞。爸爸呢，撓了撓頭，照貓畫虎復(fù)述了一遍，差點(diǎn)把我笑趴下！爸爸說(shuō)成了“青島比爾貓”！這“比爾貓”是從哪里蹦出來(lái)的呢？我真佩服爸爸的聽(tīng)力和創(chuàng)造力。
沒(méi)辦法，我只好絞盡腦汁，創(chuàng)新我的教學(xué)方法。
“你看，例如，‘Zhongshan Park’（中山公園），公園里有老虎、獅子等讓人害怕的動(dòng)物，所以‘park’開(kāi)頭就是發(fā)‘怕’的音，一害怕，不小心磕著了，所以就是‘怕磕’�！�
“早這么教，我不是早就會(huì)了嘛！”爸爸一拍大腿，興奮地站了起來(lái)。我接著編：“像‘beach’（沙灘），就想成你在沙灘上用鼻子吃飯，發(fā)音就是‘beach’�！辈坏揭环昼�，爸爸就輕輕松松記住了“park”和“beach”兩個(gè)單詞。
我找到了竅門，教起爸爸來(lái)輕松了許多。我又幫爸爸將常用的單詞在手機(jī)上錄了音，讓他有空就聽(tīng)一聽(tīng)。終于，幾天后，爸爸滿臉笑容的回家了，他告訴我們，今天他又遇到了一個(gè)外國(guó)友人，他說(shuō)的英語(yǔ)爸爸大多沒(méi)聽(tīng)懂，只聽(tīng)出來(lái)了“Landing Stage”，就知道要去棧橋。爸爸立刻說(shuō)：“OK，OK（好的）！”那外國(guó)友人下車后還向爸爸豎起了大拇指，爸爸心里自然是美滋滋的。
就這樣，在我的幫助下，爸爸會(huì)的單詞越來(lái)越多。暑假里，他經(jīng)常接送外國(guó)友人，有一次還拿回了美金呢，說(shuō)是外國(guó)友人給他的小費(fèi)�？窗职智榫w高漲，我又給爸爸做了套“青島景點(diǎn)英文詞匯卡”來(lái)幫助他背記，讓他的英語(yǔ)更上一層樓。

Huamei School is a international school. So today I want to talk about some differences between east and west. What are the major differences between Chinese and western ？I wonder how many things do we know about the difference between west and east? Although I can’t tell you exactly , I want to talk about it in the following three parts. They are food, dressing and living styles.
First, food. In China, we prefer noodles, rice , as the main course. We like cooking a lot of delicious dishes, We sit together, and taste the dishes together, , when we eating ,we like chatting and laughing, But in England or other west countries, people like eating hamburgers, chips, pizza, pasta as their main course, they eat them with vegetable salad.
Second, dressing. In China, we prefer colorful clothes, we dress them in different place, but we don’t make up; But in west countries, people dress according their visiting places, in daily times, they often wear casual clothes, but if they go to a formal places , they often wear suits, ladies wearing beautiful dresses, pretty hats. No matter how old the ladies are, they always make up.
Third, living styles. Chinese prefer getting up early and go to bed early too. Children often go to different spare schools to study. They seldom go to work during the weekend.
That’s the differences I know. I And I believe that “East or west , home is best”.

When I was in high school, go to college ismy dream. Now I realize my dream. excited as I am, the first time I see mycollege.
My college is inside the biggest universityof Guangxi so that everytime I have to across a big campus to go out. At first Iam upset about that, but later on I get used to it. My college looksmodernization in general. When I arrive at the school gate, the first thing isthe boys’ dormitory and then is the playground. Look up! I see the canteen. I seethe girls’ dormitory turn left. But where is my classroom? I look around butcan’t find it. It turns out that it is separated by burrows. It’s strange,right? While I go across the burrow, I see another two big playgrounds and a tenniscourt at my left side. What is in my right side? Turn right, I see rows ofteaching building connecting with the library. This is mycollege. I like it notonly because of the evironment but also the people there.
Both the teachers and students there arevery nice. My roomates always help me in the daily life, the thing they usuallydo is wake me up in the morning. Other classmates always help me, when I meettrouble in study. My teachers are all kind and knowlegeable. Especially my headteacher, he talks with us and plays sports with us in order to make us get usedto the new life.
My college is wonderful. I love it. If youhave the opportunity, I hope you can pay a visit one day.
